If you’ve ever dreamt of making it big in film or telly, read on. There are several organisations around
that can help your talent grow.
First Light Movies has information for young filmmakers on how
exactly a film is made – from first ideas and scriptwriting to filming, editing and getting the film shown.
There are also useful tips and lots of information on careers in film.
Mouth That Roars provides training for young people in filmmaking
and runs projects where kids can get involved in making and producing their own films.
Youth Culture TV can train you in making TV programmes. If you get involved
you can produce a programme for the YCTV channel. It’s free, and you can apply online. Best check with your
parents first though…
