Please note the London Regeneration Fund is now closed to applications.

The London Regeneration Fund is investing £20m to breathe new life into London’s high streets and places of work. The fund aims to make the most of the city’s wealth of talent in creativity and technology, by supporting innovative local projects.

About the fund

The London Regeneration Fund builds on the Mayor’s long-standing belief that London’s high streets are great places to visit, live in and do business in. The fund has seen over £129m invested in 85 places since 2011. It also introduces an extra focus on London’s places of work: the buildings, yards and estates where most of the capital’s productive economic activity occurs.

The London Enterprise Panel – the local enterprise partnership for London – established the fund using £20m of capital funding secured as part of its ‘Growth Deal’. This funding is available between April 2016 and April 2018.

The fund was open to applications from local councils, traders’ associations, workspace providers and community groups up until 2 October 2015. An announcement of the successful projects is expected by early 2016.

To find out more see the London Regeneration Fund Prospectus and read our FAQs.

The LRF launch was accompanied by a workshop for successful funding bidders held at London’s Living Room on 22 January 2016. Read the prospectus for the event, with details of all LRF projects.

The launch was also accompanied by the publication of High Street Stories – a case study handbook showing the work of the Mayor of London’s Regeneration team since 2011.

High Street Stories showcases how targeted Mayoral funding has boosted Croydon, Camden, Tottenham and other areas. The fund has helped create 1,577 jobs, improve 955 shopfronts and organise over 1,000 public events.
