Black Public Service Workers Conference

Plans were announced today for the Mayor of London's conference, Black People pushing back the Boundaries, which will bring together black public service workers, politicians and union leaders, to discuss the maintenance and improvement of public services in London.

The aim of the conference will be to provide a forum for Black and minority ethnic public service workers to contribute to the debate about the improvement of public services in the capital, as well as the impact of equalities issues, concerns about employment and access to public services encountered by people from BME communities.

Ken Livingstone, Mayor of London, will give the keynote speech. Other speakers will be confirmed at a later date.
