The following events, supported by the Mayor, will be taking place in the coming months in Trafalgar Square:

Royal Opera House BP Summer Big Screen
3 June, 30 June, 15 July

The Royal Opera House goes alfresco with three live screenings for 2009: The Royal Ballet's Ondine (Wednesday 3 June),  and The Royal Opera's La Traviata (Tuesday 30 June) and The Barber of Seville (Wednesday 15 July). The screenings starts at 7.30pm, with pre-performance events from 7pm. For more information visit www.roh.org.uk/bpbigscreens.

Canada Day
Wednesday 1 July

London’s Canada Day celebrations return for 2009 with a showcase of music, food, arts, crafts and street arts. For more information please visit www.canadadaylondon.com.

Pride London
Saturday 4 July

Pride - London's lesbian and gay festival - will start with a colourful street procession along Oxford Street and Regent Street, followed by live music, comedy and speeches on Trafalgar Square, a dance stage and street party on Soho Square, plus Women's and BAME stages too. Liberty
Saturday 5 September

Liberty is a festival that celebrates the contribution of Deaf and disabled people to London's culture, and provides a platform for the best of Deaf and disability arts with zones for street arts, circus, comedy, visual arts, music and children’s activities in the square.
