Water

Water is a vital and increasingly scarce resource for which there is rising demand. The Mayor recognises that additional water infrastructure and resources will be required to facilitate London's growth.

A clean and reliable supply of water is a fundamental need of everyone. London has a high quality reliable water supply much of which is supplied from outside London. The concentration of people and services within London can lead to pressure on supplies during periods of prolonged dry or hot weather when water usage increases.
