About the Sunshine Garden

London’s population is growing, and people are using more and more water. Londoners actually use more water per head than the rest of the UK population, and about a third more than other European cities.

That means that we need to take action now to conserve water and cut water wastage, so that we can avoid shortages in the future.

This will have an impact on our gardens, allotments, hanging baskets and balcony plants. But this doesn’t mean planting cactuses - a garden that uses little water can be beautiful. need images of urban dry gardens.

The Mayor and the Royal Horticultural Society have joined forces to create a dry garden. Designed by Paul Stone, the garden will bring to life how different fruits, flowers, shrubs, grasses and vegetables can be selected to build your very own ‘Sunshine Garden’ without losing out on style or colour.
