What is Responsible procurement?

Workers in London

On November 26th 2008 the GLA group's new responsible procurement vision and framework for delivery was announced as part of the "Equal Life Chances for All" launch. The new framework for delivery sets out the group’s key commitments, deliverables and outcomes on responsible procurement over the next 4 years.

The plan has been developed into a public facing document and includes the groups baseline position on responsible procurement, using data from the 2007/8 spend analysis, supplier survey and the supplier baseline review conducted summer 2008. The document is available now as 'Getting Value for London'
