Schools

This is the place to read about what schools across London will be doing to mark Rhythm of London week. 

If you would like to see your school featured here, all you have to do is register and tell us about your planned music activities.

To help promote and celebrate all the fantastic music that happens in schools, we want to encourage as many schools as we can to sign up as a partner and take part in whatever way you can.

All types of music performance or music activities are welcome.  The possibilities for the range of activities are endless and can be devised to fit with the level of ability and resources you have in school.  How can you encourage all pupils to get involved either as participants or as audience?  Maybe join forces with other schools; involve the school’s wider community – teachers, support staff, parents, governors; talk to your local music service about their plans for Rhythm of London or look further afield to one of our partner organisations who may offer special events for Rhythm of London schools. 

We are also planning a celebration event on 24 April in Trafalgar Square that will showcase some of London’s most talented young musicians.  More news on this exciting performance coming soon.

Whichever way you can be involved, we will include your school on the Rhythm of London website, provide you with a marketing kit (posters, stickers, badges) and send you a specially produced guide that will feature all the Rhythm of London partner organisations’ activities or events during the week of 17 – 24 April.
