GLA Elections - transition guides

30 JUNE 2010

When Londoners go to the polls in the GLA elections, the results can deliver a change of Mayor and changes in membership of the London Assembly. This may bring a different set of priorities and political direction to City Hall.

To ensure any handover of power is swift, smooth and effective, the GLA has produced the following guides for potential candidates and City Hall staff:

  •  Transition guide for potential candidates
  •  GLA contingency plan for political transition

These guides (first published June 2010, revised August 2011) may be downloaded below.

The next GLA elections will be held in 2012.
