Biography
Richard was born in Catford, South East London in 1961, is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Arts and has studied extensively at post graduate level in America and the Far East. Prior to entering politics, Richard exhibited, taught and lectured in Art both in the UK and Europe.
In 2005, Richard stood for the parliamentary constituency of Barking for the British National Party, and in 2006 he was elected on to Barking and Dagenham Council and became Group Leader of the BNP official opposition on the Council.
In May 2008 Richard was elected as a London-wide member of the Assembly. In August 2010 Richard resigned the whip of the British National Party and now sits as an independent member.
