The main agency for transport in London
Transport for London (TfL) is the main agency for transport services in our city and is controlled by the Mayor. Together with TfL we work to make sure this complex system gets everyone from A to B as smoothly as possible.
The Mayor’s Transport Strategy
TfL implements the Mayor's Transport Strategy, the Mayor’s plan for London’s transport for the next twenty years.
Services managed by Transport for London
TfL runs London's buses, the Tube, the Docklands Light Railway (DLR), London Trams, a 580km network of main roads, all of London's 6,000 traffic lights and it regulates taxis and the private hire minicab trade. It also runs London River Services, Victoria Coach Station and London's Transport Museum.
