Each year progress on the implementation of the London Plan is measured and reported in the Annual Monitoring Report (AMR).
The AMR also reports on Supplementary Planning Guidance, Best Practice Guidance, progress on the Opportunity Areas and Intensification Areas, and other Mayoral Strategies. It is the central component of the statutory monitoring process required to assess the effectiveness of the London Plan. Based on the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in Chapter 6 of the plan, it also has additional related monitoring that highlights more specific challenges for London.
In addition, the AMR gives an update on the Mayor's planning activities and sets the context for planning development in London. The report also contains the Housing Provision monitor as an Annex and the Affordability thresholds for social/intermediate housing.
The Mayor has published an Annual Monitoring Report in spring each year since 2005 (a year after the publication of The London Plan in Febrary 2004.) These reports can be downloaded below:
