Olympic Park Legacy Company
The Olympic Park Legacy Company (OPLC) was founded by the Mayor in partnership with central government as the public sector, not-for-profit organisation responsible for the long-term planning, development, management and maintenance of the Olympic Park and its facilities after the London 2012 Games. For more information visit: www.legacycompany.co.uk.
In February 2011 the Mayor put forward proposals to re-form the OPLC as a Mayoral Development Corporation centred on the Olympic Park, but also incorporating a large part of the surrounding area. The proposals reflect the fact that the Mayor has identified this area as 'London’s single most important regeneration project for the next 25 years', because it is where the opportunity of the 2012 Games meets some of the greatest need in the capital.
The Mayor held a public consultation about his proposals from February - April 2011 and the feedback and input received is now being considered and a final proposal being drafted.
The proposals published for consultation in February 2011 and a map showing the proposed boundary of the Corporation are available for download below.
