RE:FIT – Putting our energy into reducing yours

What is RE:FIT?

RE:FIT is the Mayor of London’s award-winning scheme to provide a commercial model for public bodies wishing to achieve substantial financial cost savings, improve the energy performance of their buildings and reduce their CO2 footprint.

The scheme uses an Energy Service Company (ESCo) to implement energy efficiency measures which enable organisations to cut running costs, energy consumption and carbon emissions. The ESCo guarantees the level of energy savings, thus offering a secure financial saving over the period of the agreement.

RE:FIT's objectives

The overall aim is an ambitious one, to help accelerate reduction of energy use, cutting energy bills and helping the delivery of the Carbon reduction targets for London’s public buildings.

The RE:FIT programme can be used for a broad range of measures to reduce CO2 emissions, including insulation and building fabric improvements, replacement or upgrading of mechanical and electrical services equipment and the installation of bespoke energy efficiency measures such as combined heat and power (CHP) and voltage optimisation equipment.

RE:FIT achievements

The RE:FIT programme is being utilised by many public sector organisations across London, including local authorities, universities and NHS organisations.
