A clean city is integral to an enconocially succesufl and socialy vibrant city.  Littering, fly-tipping, graffiti, dog-fouling, all make for an unpleasant city, that is why we are committed to fighting these and other environmental crimes to help make London the cleanest and greenest big city in the world.

Working with the boroughs

To tackle the problem we strive to support boroughs to fulfil their obligation to keep our streets clean and encourage behavior change through education, followed up by enforcement where necessary. As much as possible should be done to raise awareness of the consequences and deter people from committing such crimes in the first place. At the same time, people who commit environmental crimes should not be allowed to get away with them. We support a mobile reporting system ‘Love Clean London’ that allows London’s residents report both environmental crime and when they have taken clean-up action themselves. We also work closly with boroughs and community groups via our project Capital Clean-up which encourages Londoners to volunteer to make their lcoal communites a cleaner and more pleastnt place to live.
