Green up the Greenway

Scrub clearance, planting and creating insect loggeries at the Channelsea/West Ham section of the Greenway.

Channelsea Spruce Up!

Acid grassland restoration and ditch clearance

Fishponds Wood acid grassland restoration workday - We will be working in the second meadow area, clearing scrub thats starting to shade out the acid grasslands.
Also a small team will help to clear a ditch that feeds the main pond. As the pond is just a puddle at the moment and we need to get more water in before the Frogs, Toads and Newts turn up.

Bus routes 57,200 and 265 serve this area, which link to Raynes Park, Wimbledon, Kingston and Putney.
Hall Place River Clean up

Wandering Litter Pick

Join Thames21 and enjoy a walk of the Olympic waterways, picking up litter along the way! We will start from Hackney Wick Station and finish at Bromley by Bow Station. Tea and biscuits at Bow Locks! Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult an all equipment will be provided.

Regents Canal Kayak Litter-Pick

Enjoy a guided kayak/canoe trip on the Regents Canal and help us improve it at the same time. We will also need a team to help us on dry land. Those helpers will not need to kayak on this event.
Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty. Bring a spare pair of clothes and a towel if you wish to be part of the boat team. Please note: there are limited spaces for the kayaks and canoes, so pre-registering is essential!

River Yeading Clean Up

Creating bundles of twigs (faggots) from tree branches already cut on site, and tying with hemp string. Later in spring these bundles will be then be put in the river to help silt build up, which will then be planted with native river plants.
London Wildlife Trust is looking for volunteers to join in regular practical work days to help enhance the Yeading Brook for wildlife and the enjoyment of local people. Be prepared it may get occasionally muddy, but no experience needed!
Crayford Waterside Gardens River Clean

Birdbrook Spring Workday

Join us for a few hours to restore the habitats important for wildlife and amphibians. A chance to see and learn about newts, toads and toadspawn at one of London's finest amphibian sites. Tools will be provided but please bring gloves and some refreshment. Stout footwear is recommended. Toilets are available at the local train station.
How to get to Spring Workday:
Kidbrooke railway station is nearby. Easy parking on side roads near site. Bus no 286 stops nearby.
