Get involved
You can get involved in the following ways:
- You can take part in a local event
- You can organise your own event or project such as a litter pick, graffiti removal, improving habitats etc.
To promote your event or recruit volunteers, register your clean-up
Taking part in Capital Clean-up is a great and fun way to make a real difference in your local area. If you are organising your own clean-up event, please visit our Advice and Support page to get information on all aspects of planning and managing the event including vital information on health and safety and community event liability insurance.
Free Clean-Up Kits for community groups, businesses and schools
This year, Capital Clean-up is working with Keep Britain Tidy’s national anti-litter campaign, the ‘Big Tidy Up’. All community groups, businesses or schools that register a litter picking event with the Capital Clean-up will have the opportunity for us to register them with the Big Tidy Up, which will entitle them to a free tidy up kit.
Send us ‘before’ and ‘after’ pictures of your Clean-up and report areas that need to be cleaned-up
Share the success of your events - why not take some before and after pictures of your clean-ups and report them via the Love Clean London free mobile phone application or website? You can choose the “I Cleaned London” report category to show other Londoners your job well done. You can also use this application to report an area in your community that needs to be cleaned up.
