Environment

London’s environment needs to be maintained and protected and its resources (water, energy and waste) used more efficiently. We are working hard to reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions in London, to help tackle climate change and increase the city’s resilience to extreme weather. We are also enhancing London’s green and open space and developing the capital’s ‘green economy’– all with the aim of improving Londoners’ quality of life.
