London’s environment needs to be maintained and protected and its resources (water, energy and waste) used more efficiently. We are working hard to reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions in London, to help tackle climate change and increase the city’s resilience to extreme weather. We are also enhancing London’s green and open space and developing the capital’s ‘green economy’– all with the aim of improving Londoners’ quality of life.

Join in Capital Clean-up activities across London from May to September 2015 and help spruce up your neighbourhood. Whether you want to turn a neglected green space into a community garden, remove litter from a beauty spot, clear up a waterway or paint vibrant murals on a graffiti covered walls, Capital Clean-up has a range of volunteering opportunities.
