The London Skills and Employment Board is determined to provide an integrated service to London's employers, in partnership with them. By bringing together the many agencies working on skills and employment in London, we aim to provide a single-point-of-contact service that helps employers access the skills they need and provide the employment Londoners need. London needs a highly skilled and flexible workforce to compete in the 21st century global economy. London's employers clearly have a key role to play.
We're working with numerous agencies in London – central government, local authority and private sector – to achieve a coordinated offer that avoids waste and duplication and delivers the best of all worlds. We look to provide a highly customised service that adapts to the needs of the individual business or public sector employer. And we look also to encourage employers to extend opportunity to more disadvantaged Londoners, and to 'spread the word' among their peers about the benefits investment in skills can bring.
We believe a coherent, coordinated, customer-led approach can bring together London employers and Londoners to the benefit of all.
