Policing in London
The MOPC is responsible for maintaining an effective and efficient police service in London. The police work is carried out by the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS).
Policing the City
The City of London has its own separate police force and the Met works with them and other forces neighbouring London, as well as the British Transport Police.
