Digital craftsmanship - the new 'Bethnal Green Old Town Hall'

Learn about rare architecture's Town Hall Hotel, a new 98-room luxury hotel, restaurant and bar housed in the old Bethnal Green Town Hall, at the heart of London's East End.

Comprising the provision of a contemporary extension, this project also included the restoration and refurbishment of the existing Grade II listed building.

The talk will showcase the architectural journey undertaken by rare exploring the use of digital craftsmanshift at a variety of scales throughout the project. The term, coined by the practice, refers to the use of contemporary digital tools to design and manufacture a new form of craft.

The talk will be hosted in the Former Council Chamber.
