About the festival

Story of London is a Londonwide festival running throughout August and organised by the Mayor.

It celebrates the capital both as a place of heritage and culture as well as a cutting-edge city of change and new ideas.

The festival recognises and profiles the world-class heritage and culture on offer across the city, supporting new collaborations and programming and encouraging new audiences to engage with and share in its story.

This year, the festival is being curated by the Museum of London and is also part of the Festival of Britain celebrations at the Southbank Centre.
