The Culture Diary

The Culture Diary is a calendar and online planning tool, to help promote all of London's cultural activities for 2012.

A cultural calendar for 2012 – re-opened until 31 March

2012 will be a fantastic year of culture for London. With the city gearing up for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and Olympic and Paralympic Games more cultural activity is being planned than ever before reinforcing our position as one of the world’s leading cities of culture.

To make sure everything goes to plan, we’ve created the Culture Diary which will present everything that’s happening in London in one place.

What is the Culture Diary?

The Culture Diary is the first citywide planning, programming and promotional tool of its kind.

Since launching in 2010, a wide range of cultural events from across the 33 London boroughs have been added to the Diary; keeping event programmers, organisers and boroughs informed of what’s going on and providing event listings and promotional opportunities.

Once registered, you can use the Diary to:

  • see what else is planned for the year, look for opportunities to work together and identify any potential event clashes
  • find opportunities for joint marketing and promotional campaigns
  • share ideas and planning with partners across London.

The Culture Diary has now re-opened for a limited period

You can add new cultural events or edit those already registered in the Diary until 31 March 2012.

Need to register?

If you are planning a cultural event in 2012 and need to register for the Diary, please contact theculturediary@london.gov.uk.

Important info

Entering your event into The Culture Diary does not mean it has been approved. For permissions and licensing, you must follow the regular process for event approvals and contact your local borough.

Legacy

The aim of The Cultural Diary is to make the most of the Greater London Authority’s investment, offer support to organisations and develop a legacy that will continue to help and promote London's cultural sector beyond 2012.
