Trains, planes and automobiles – the Mayor’s transport legacy

Every year, the Mayor of London is questioned on a range of transport issues at a full meeting of the London Assembly. Tomorrow will be the final opportunity for Assembly Members to hold the Mayor to account for the policies and work of Transport for London (TfL). The guests are:

  • Boris Johnson MP, in his capacity as Chairman of TfL
  • Mike Brown MVO, TfL Commissioner

The following topics will be discussed:

  • Polluting buses in London
  • Congestion in London
  • The Mayor’s transport legacy
  • Future of London transport

Following this, Assembly Members will submit motions on various topics.

From 2:30pm (approx.) there will also be a question and answer session on Minor Alterations to the London Plan with:

  • Sir Edward Lister, Chief of Staff and Deputy Mayor for Policy and Planning
  • Stewart Murray, Assistant Director – Planning, Greater London Authority (GLA)

​Assembly Members may reject the proposals if two-thirds of those present vote to do so.

The meeting will take place on Wednesday, 10th February from 10.00am in The Chamber at City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).
