The role of public land in London’s housing crisis

In order to meet his annual target of delivering 42,000 new homes the Mayor is looking to identify available public land.

To do this he is working with other public sector organisations including Transport for London (TfL) and the National Health Service (NHS).

Tomorrow the London Assembly Planning Committee will hear from the following guests about progress to date and plans the Mayor has to bring forward to accelerate delivery of publicly-owned land:

  • Graeme Craig, Commercial Development Director, TfL
  • David Lunts, Executive Director Housing and Land, Greater London Authority
  • Andrew Wright, Director of Strategic Development, Barnet Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust

The meeting takes place tomorrow on Thursday 11 February from 2pm in Committee Room 1, City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).
