Booking the squareParliament Square may be used for filming, photo-shoots and photo-calls, subject to approval in advance. Organisations must submit an application and, if permission is granted, follow the GLA's guidelines and observe the terms and conditions. Commercial fees for filming, photo shoots and photo calls on Parliament Square Garden are currently (since 1 April 2007) £200 + VAT per hour. Public gatherings on Parliament Square GardenAll public gatherings, static protests and marches in the close proximity of Parliament Square are subject to approval under the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005 (SOCPA). For further information regarding this Act please visit www.met.police.uk/events/protest_march.htm or contact Charing Cross Police Special Events Team on 020 7321 7524. In order for the GLA to consider any enquiries for public gatherings, approval must be granted by the police in the first instance under SOCPA as detailed in the Metropolitan Police website above.
