Mayor answers to London

462 Bus Route

[Main question]

Question number2323/2008
Meeting date15/10/2008

Question by Roger Evans

At 17.30 on 2nd October the bus stop timetables on the 462 bus route remained those dated 24.3.07, despite the fact that they had already been superseded. No advance publicity was given local to changes that took effect from 27 September. In addition, the times shown on the TfL web-site's Journey Planner show the times from that timetable, as do the timetables available through the TfL website. Will the Mayor instruct TfL to ensure that at least 2 weeks advance publicity is given to forthcoming changes, and that both online and bus stop timetables are updated immediately on the day when the timings of a bus route are changed?

Answer by Boris Johnson

It is regrettable that the timetables in use were not updated in advance, but these are now correct. TfL have assured me that they will take every precaution that this will not happen again in future.
