To receive any apologies for absence and any announcements from the Chair.

No apologies for absence were received.

The Chair welcomed to the meeting students from the University of
West London, City University, University College London, News
Associates, the London School of Economics and Leyton Sixth Form
College, who observed the meeting from the public
gallery.
1.3 On behalf of the Assembly, the Chair welcomed to the GLA the new Chief Operating Officer for the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime, Helen Bailey, and congratulated Lord Coe on his appointment as Chairman of the British Olympic Association.
