Report of the Executive Director of Secretariat

The Committee is recommended to note the report, put questions to Daniel Ritterband, Director of Marketing at the GLA, and note the discussion.

9.1  The Committee received the report of the Executive Director of Secretariat as background to putting questions to Daniel Ritterband, Director of Marketing at the GLA, in relation to the Mayor’s promotional strategy for London.

9.2  The Director of Marketing summarised the strategy but due to time constraints, Members were unable to ask detailed questions on the issue. It was therefore agreed that the Director of Marketing would return to the next meeting of the Committee to discuss the matter further.

9.3  Resolved:

(a)  That the report and discussion be noted; and

(b)  That the Director of Marketing return to the Budget and Performance Committee meeting of 7 July 2011 in order to discuss further the Mayor’s strategy for the promotion of London.
