1.1  Apologies for absence were received on behalf of Gareth Bacon AM, for whom Tony Arbour AM attended as a substitute, and Len Duvall AM, for whom Navin Shah AM attended as a substitute.

(a)  Note the Metropolitan Police Authority’s response to recommendations 1, 3, 5, 6 and 7 and Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary’s response to recommendation 4 of the Budget and Performance Committee report Policing in London: A London Assembly report into the future shape of the Metropolitan Police Service.

(b)  Delegate authority to the Chair, in consultation with the Deputy Chairman and Group Lead Members, to arrange a meeting with representatives of the Metropolitan Police Authority/Mayor’s Office for Police and Crime and the Metropolitan Police Service to discuss how recommendation 1 of the report may be taken forward.
