Mayor's Housing Strategy proposals to be examined

7 SEPTEMBER 2011

What does the Mayor’s vision for the future of London’s housing provision look like? What will be the impact of the Affordable Rent Model on the supply of family-sized homes? And how will the Mayor use his new powers to meet London’s future housing needs?

The London Assembly’s Planning and Housing Committee will tomorrow question the following guests in order to inform its response to the Mayor’s revised London Housing Strategy consultation[1]

  • Richard Blakeway, Mayoral Advisor for Housing
  • David Lunts, Interim Executive Director Housing and Regeneration, Greater London Authority
  • Alan Benson, Head of Housing, Greater London Authority

The meeting will take place on Thursday, 8 September 2011 from 10am in Committee Room 5 at City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).   Media and members of the public are invited to attend.   The meeting can also be viewed via webcast.
