Assembly to quiz decision makers on Olympic Park venues legacy plans

12 SEPTEMBER 2011

How will the Olympic Park venues be financially viable in the long run and what will be the cost to the taxpayer? Are the right decisions being made now to ensure fair access for the local community? Do transport links across the park need to be improved?

The Assembly’s Economy, Culture and Sport (ECS) Committee will tomorrow question the following guests about the plans for the future of the 2012 Aquatics Centre, Velodrome, Handball Arena, Hockey Centre and Eton Manor[1]:

  • Duncan Innes, Executive Director of Real Estate, Olympic Park Legacy Company
  • Peter Tudor, Director of Venues, Olympic Park Legacy Company
  • Shaun Dawson, Chief Executive, Lee Valley Regional Park Authority

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, 13 September from 10am in Committee Room 5 at City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1). Media and members of the public are invited to attend.

The meeting can also be viewed via webcast.
