News from Gareth Bacon: Gareth Bacon welcomes commitment to no increase in Council Tax precept from Boris Johnson

Gareth Bacon, London Assembly member, who shadows Greenwich and Lewisham for the Conservative Group has today welcomed the Mayor of London’s commitment not to increase the Greater London Authority council tax precept.

Commenting, Mr Bacon said:

“This is excellent news for the people of Greenwich and Lewisham. Boris knows full well the pressures household budgets are under and has once again not increased his share of the council tax.

“He has combated costs by driving up efficiencies, not shunting costs on to council tax payers.”
