News from Andrew Boff: Andrew Boff welcomes Mayor’s plans to help Londoners beat energy price hikes
4 AUGUST 2011
London Assembly member, Andrew Boff has welcomed Boris’s initiative to help people in Barking & Dagenham, Hackney and Waltham Forest insulate themselves against fast-rising fuel prices.
Speaking after the announcement of the Mayor’s RE:NEW programme, which will see homes in the boroughs receive advice or financial help covering everything from energy-efficient light bulbs to cavity wall insulation, Mr Boff said:
“Boris’s RE:NEW programme has huge potential to save people quite a lot of money over the course of a year. Some estimates suggest that savings could be as much as £180 a year – not an inconsiderable amount.
“On top of that it’s environmentally-friendly too.”
