London Sustainable Development CommissionMaking your plans sustainable: A London Guide
In April 2004 the Commission published its new sustainability guide to help implement its London Framework. The Guide is a tool for all organisations to help to plan sustainability into their projects or strategies. Making your plans sustainable: A London
Guide PDF Building sustainability considerations in at the early planning stage of a project will help achieve economic, social and environmental goals simultaneously. Using sustainability as a key principle will create smarter and more successful plans and projects. The Guide contains case studies of organisations who have been recognised for their contribution to sustainable development, as well as a comprehensive section on additional sources for help and further information. The Guide includes a series of questions which should be considered when drawing up a proposal. Working through these questions will provoke new ideas about the wider impact of your plans and how they could be improved. These questions can be downloaded and completed separately as an RTF file.
