The Mayor's Energy Strategy
Policies stated in the energy strategy include the Mayor's support for the development of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies, and the implementation of renewable energy technologies. In April 2002 the London Hydrogen Partnership was launched, to work towards a hydrogen future for London - quiet, efficient and eventually zero-emission energy. In 2003 London Renewables - energy for our future was set up, to inform the adoption of renewable energy targets for London and promote action to meet them. ConsultationIn spring 2002 a draft strategy was sent to the London Assembly and the GLA group organisations for their observations. In January 2003 the public consultation draft of the energy strategy was published. The Mayor asked members of the public and interested organisations for their views on it, via questionnaires and on-line surveys, during the consultation period which ended on 22 April 2003. A report summarising the consultation results is available for download: Consultation report PDF
