London: Cultural Capital - Realising the potential of a world class cityThe Mayor's Culture Strategy
ConsultationThe Mayor published his draft Culture Strategy for public consultation in May 2003 - it was launched at a free weekend event at City Hall on 31 May and 1 June 2003, Cultural Capital: Live!. The consultation period ended on 15 September, and in its final week the Culture Strategy was featured in special programmes on BBC London looking at the state of culture in the capital. Comments received during the consultation have been taken into account in formulation of the final strategy document. The consultation report describes the consultation process and summarises the results: Consultation report PDF Downloading the strategyThe full strategy and a shorter summary ('Highlights') are available for downloading free of charge, in both PDF and RTF formats. The RTF files exclude illustrations. Please note the PDF files are large; when downloading, please be mindful of each file's size and remember that larger files take longer to download. The site help page gives further information about these formats, and the access.adobe.com website provides tools and information to help make PDF files accessible to users with visual disabilities.
