Pre-planning application advice

A new service, launched on Monday 5 November 2007, will provide the highest possible quality of pre-planning application advice. Effective pre-planning application consultation is essential to ensure both applicants and GLA planning officers have the best opportunity to exchange detailed advice on how best to see that applications, which are referable to the Mayor of London, are compliant with the London Plan.

The Planning Decisions Unit is offering an enhanced service for developers to ensure proposed developments are London Plan compliant early in the planning process and, experience has shown, will effectively speed up the planning process for both applicants and the local planning authority.

The service is subject to a charge which will ensure the delivery of the enhanced service by providing additional resources required.  Details of the charge are in the Guidance Note.

The following documents will be available from Monday 5 November when the new requests will be accepted by the GLA.
