Sub Regional Development Framework - Central London

The Central London Sub Regional Development Framework (SRDF) brings together a wide range of information about the sub-region and makes many suggestions to boroughs and others on the issues that should be addressed in implementing the London Plan.

It outlines the structural challenges facing Central London and highlights the pressures and sensitivities of the Central Activities Zone, which includes many of London’s defining features and activities, as well as the potential of its town centres and the needs of its disadvantaged communities. The scale of change facing Central London means that this SRDF emphasises the need to co-ordinate the provision not only of new housing, but of transport infrastructure, jobs, schools and local shops, and new or enhanced green spaces.
