London Older People's Assembly
Safeguarding London’s future: older people and climate changeThe fifth annual London Older People's Assembly "Safeguarding London's future: older people and climate change" took place on Monday 9 July 2007 at City Hall with the support of the Mayor of London. This year's event was themed around environmental issues, and offered older Londoners the opportunity to discuss practical ways to make a difference - from energy efficiency in the home to direct campaigning. An intergenerational debate explored how younger and older Londoners can best work together to become more environmentally aware, and a "learning from our neighbours" seminar highlighted the positive examples other parts of the country have set. Organised by London Older People’s Strategies group Supported by Mayor of London Post conference reportThe post conference report is now available online.
