The Mayor's Equality Framework: Equal Life Chances for All

The Framework

Equal Life Chances for All has been developed to address the remaining and significant pockets of deprivation and inequality, and provides a fresh analysis and different solutions to inclusion, community cohesion and tackling disadvantage. It aims to achieve equal life chances for all and proposes an approach that brings Londoners together, rather than dividing them. It sets out the Mayor’s equality vision and the framework necessary to deliver it.

The framework promotes equality outcomes - being able to deliver real changes to the quality of life for all Londoners.

The new framework focuses on equality outcomes where ordinary Londoners will experience real change. The Mayor wants the Framework to deliver concrete, sustainable improvements for the city, and reduce the impact of the economic downturn on the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people. It addresses deprivation and inequality, and provides a fresh analysis and different solutions to community cohesion, inclusion and tackling disadvantage.
