British Waterways www.british-waterways.co.uk - This site shows how you can find and enjoy Britain's canals and navigable rivers, how they are managed and how you could get involved in their future conservation. Includes interactive maps, events, educational resources, voluntary societies and more. British Trust for Conservation Volunteers www.btcv.org.uk - Provides information about how to join the Trust and of the many opportunities to volunteer to bring about positive environmental change. Countryside Agency www.countryside.gov.uk - Site provides news and information about the countryside in your region. Also explains the work of the Countryside Agency with details of meetings and links to further web sites. English Nature www.english-nature.org.uk - Web site of the Government agency promoting conservation of wildlife and natural features in England. Includes details of nature reserves in your area as well as walks and events taking place on them. Environment Agency www.environment-agency.gov.uk - Web site of the Environment Agency. The Agency's work includes regulating industry, maintaining flood defences and water resources, and improving wildlife habitats. The agency also monitors the environment, making the information widely available. Lee Valley Park Authority www.leevalleypark.org.uk - Provides details of events and things to do in Lee Valley Regional Park.
