The Mayor's air quality strategy

Air pollution has a major impact on health and quality of life - particulate air pollution (one of the key pollutants in London) was predicted to cause 1,000 premature deaths in London in 2005. The Mayor’s Air Quality Strategy sets out his proposals for improving air quality in London. The Strategy also includes background information on where London’s pollution comes from and what impact it has on our health.

The Mayor’s Air Quality Strategy is available to download for free. This is available in full, as a strategy highlights leaflet or as a shorter summary leaflet.
