European Regional Development Fund

The EU flagThe European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) is one of two European Structural Funds the Mayor has responsibility for managing and administering.

He gives the overall policy steer for this fund and has delegated responsibility for the operational management of the programme to the London Development Agency (LDA).

The ERDF is worth approximately €181m (£142m*). The objective of this programme is to support SME-related innovation, access to finance and markets and business-related regeneration in London.

The four priorities identified in the ERDF Operational Programme are:

  • Priority 1: Business innovation and research and promoting eco-efficiency
  • Priority 2: Access to new markets and access to finance
  • Priority 3: Sustainable places for business
  • Priority 4: Technical Assistance

The London ERDF Operational Programme sets up the framework for investing the ERDF funding.

* This figure will fluctuate according to the € /(£ exchange rate.
