The credit crunch and the London economy seminar

City Hall, London, SE1 2AA
Thursday 26 June 2008

Seminar summary

The credit crunch represents one of the most serious tests for the UK economy (and particularly the London economy) of the past decade or so. This seminar looked at the impacts of the credit crunch on financial services - a sector crucial to London’s economy. It also addressed specific impacts of the credit crunch on London’s property markets. We concluded with GLA Economics’ latest forecast for London’s growth in output, employment, household expenditure and household income in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
