We're keen for you to get involved in helping us investigate the issues that matter.
We are currently seeking Londoners' views on a number of issues:
Moorings on London's waterways
Are London’s canal and river moorings becoming overcrowded and polluted by increasing numbers of boats?
The London Assembly is investigating moorings on the capital’s waterways, focusing on the impact of rising boat numbers on canal infrastructure, existing boaters and canal-side properties.
What challenges are small theatres facing? What can be done to help them remain viable across the capital? We want to hear from theatres, theatre-goers, producers, funders and other cultural organisations.
How should the use of Tasers and other 'less lethal weapons' by the Met be monitored? And how was the decision made to increase the number of Tasers available to police in the capital to over 1,500? We want to hear your views by 30 April please email ian.osullivan@london.gov.uk .
Around 1 in 4 Londoners now rents privately. Are you one of them?
Our Housing and Regeneration Committee is reviewing the private rented sector and will propose reforms aimed at tackling problems and improving living standards. We want to see more homes, with better quality, and for all tenants to enjoy decent conditions and fair treatment from landlords.
We need Londoners to help us with our investigation and want to hear from those of you who rent or have rented in the past. Please email your experiences (in confidence) to housingandregencommittee@london.gov.uk
