Mayor’s Final Budget for 2013-14

The Mayor’s final published budget for 2013-14 is attached below. This should be read in context with the Mayor’s final capital spending plan.

Mayor's Capital Spending Plan for 2013-14

The Mayor is required, under section 122 of the Greater London Authority (GLA) Act 1999, to prepare, for each financial year, a capital spending plan for the component bodies of the GLA Group: the Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC), the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority (LFEPA), Transport for London (TfL) and the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC).

The document also includes the capital plan for the Greater London Authority.

The final Capital Spending Plan for 2013-14 was published on 27 February 2013:

GLA Council Tax Precept for 2013-14

On 25 February the London Assembly approved the Mayor's final draft budget for 2013-14 unamended.

Following that meeting the Mayor approved the council tax precept for 2013-14 in Mayoral Decision 1160. The council tax for a Band D property in 2013-14 in the 32 London boroughs is £303.00 (a £3.72 or 1.2 percent reduction compared to 2012-13). The precept in the City of London - which has its own police force - is £86.08.

Consultation Budget and Draft Capital Spending Plan for 2013-14

On 2 January 2013 the Mayor published his consultation budget (including his draft Capital Spending Plan) for the GLA and GLA group for 2013-14. The closing date for responses is 23 January 2013. Responses should be sent by email to GLABudget@london.gov.uk

The Mayor's Budget Guidance 2013/14

Each year the Mayor publishes a Budget Guidance document to aid the GLA and GLA group in preparing their budgets for the next financial year. His budget guidance for 2013/14 was published on 27 June 2012:

GLA Settlement Letter

The information below sets out the Government's funding settlement for the GLA for 2011-12 to 2014-15. The settlement reflects new responsibilities passed to the GLA following the Localism Act 2011. It covers the financial treatment of assets and liabilities from the Olympic Park and from the Homes and Community Agency (which was devolved to the GLA from April 2012).
