Executive summary

Despite progress being made in the fight against youth unemployment, the number of unemployed young people in London is still unacceptably high with youth unemployment rates more than 2.5 times higher than the national average. The Team London Volunteers into Employment, Education or Training programme will aim to help young people on their pathway to work, enabling them to build their skills and experience through a mixture of volunteering, training and support. Team London is looking to partner with a/several leading organisation/s that can help young unemployed Londoners find sustainable education, employment and/or training. The GLA is looking to grant up to a maximum of £100,000 to one or more organisations with the aim of assisting18-24 year olds secure sustained employment, education or training.
