Executive summary
Friday 8 May 2015 is the 70th Anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day. This is a particularly important year for these commemorations, as it is likely to be the last significant anniversary where ex-Service and civilian men and women who contributed to the war effort will still be able to participate. It is also an important time to pass on this information and educate the next generation of young people who have become further removed from this part of our history over the generations.
