Paul Head
Principal and Chief Executive, College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London

Paul has been Principal of the College of North East London (CONEL) since October 2002. Conel merged with Enfield college on 1 August 2009 to form the college of Haringey, Enfield and North East London. Before joining the college in 2001 Paul worked for fifteen years in higher education as a senior manager, most recently at Thames Valley University in West London.

The college  is a large general Further Education College located in Tottenham in Haringey and Ponders End in Enfield with over 24,000 students aged 14 onwards, 70% are adults.  The college has Learning and Skills Beacon Status. 

As Principal Paul is the main representative of the College on partnership and outside bodies both in London North and the London Region.  Some of his roles are:

• Member of the London Skills and Employment Board (LSEB) chaired by the Mayor of London
• Vice Chair of the Haringey Strategic Partnership

Paul is also a Director of the Learning and Skills Improvement Service and chairs the Principals Champions Group on community cohesion and preventing violent extremism.
